Although the modern secretary is a multi-skilled, highly intelligent professional who is committed to the company’s best interests, our findings still suggest that many ‘modern’ bosses do not appreciate the fact.
But things are changing. We are celebrating Secretarial Careers Awareness Week to highlight the hugely important role that secretaries play in today’s office. We have published a revealing survey that shows how indispensable a good secretary or PA can be, as well as some shocking evidence that secretaries are not only underestimated by their bosses but also required to undertake some unusual tasks that are certainly not in their job description.
